Apple Picking

I went apple picking with a few friends...

The first part of all proper road trips is the road. You drive for a few hours to end up someplace different than where you started. We drove from Brooklyn, through Manhattan to pick up our gang, and upstate.

We
arrived at Applewood Farms, and were astonished at the sea of cars, only to then find the sea of people as we approached the buildings. Pamela, who had recommended this location, said poignantly, "Welcome to Fall."

Check out that crowd
. Apple picking was lovely. The weather was beautiful, and the apples were tasty. Even though Caleb believed eating apples in the orchard was like stealing, I believe otherwise, as did Julie and Jillian (See photo below), and so I ate me some apples. Any thoughts on that debate, blog reading audience?
The other people who shared our apple picking space only fueled our fun. I like to judge people, so we had some fun doing just that.

Renata likes taking pictures, but doesn't like being in them, but she sure looks cute in this one, even if she is hiding her face behind the camera.

After the long car ride, and apple picking, we were ready for lunch. I had a hot dog with kraut, and we shared some apple cider donuts, which were delicious. And Wine; Renata and I tasted a few, and then had a glass.

There was a puppet show to entertain us while we ate.

Then we got some more donuts (Caleb was the brave warrior who waited in the line while the ladies wandered the grounds), and hit the road.
We did a little shopping before the drive home, and bought a few things.
The Brooklyn Bridge as we descend for the final approach to home.
