With respect to the fact that Eva and I could not lunch together today, I didn't make anything fabulous. (Unless you're a serious lover of egg salad, in which case, I did make something fabulous, and it was delicious.)
Or maybe it had something to do with the late hour I returned home last night, which was conducive neither to shopping nor cooking. (Though roommate Shane could sleep through the apocalypse, I'm pretty sure.)
But, the blog/lunch adventure inspired me to not give up this morning and just figure I could buy out for one day. So here's the breakdown of my brown bag du jour: 2 eggs (25 cents); slice of whole-wheat, country tuscan loaf from "TJs" (15 cents); and a peach (40 cents). Ummm...that's less than one dollar. (Even if I tried to calculate in the teaspoon of mayo I don't think I'd get there.) It may not be sexy, but it sure is cheap!
