Accessories to Lunch: Aiding and Abetting

Eva's not here again until tomorrow, so it was just me again today with my broken heart, leftover soup, and little lunch bag.

So let's talk about the bag, then, shall we? I got this little tote as a bridesmaids' gift from my sister, who I hope doesn't feel like she's still being dragged beneath the foodie bus. It's never been quite big enough for me to use as a handbag in NYC, but I recently discovered it is the perfect size for bringing lunch while looking cute.

Doesn't it make you want to bring lunch?

I could bore you with the details of the cost breakdown of each of the following items that journeyed in the bag this morning, but you'll just have to trust that, without Eva, I spent my lunch hour calculating each serving of flour and each apple involved here:

Leftover Mushroom Barley Soup: $1.65
Nectarine: $.48
Applesauce: $.28
Apple Muffin: $.14
TOTAL: $2.55

Yes. I went apple picking this weekend. :)

  1. I'm glad it is coming in handy! Nah, I'm no longer under the foodie bus, although I am on a nice bench eating plain chicken watching it pass me by... and very content there.
