What do you get when you cross Radishes with Doritos?

Not Radicchio.

I should have known better given the fact that the radish chips in question were touted as low fat salty snack options. These spicy radish chips (looking surprisingly like Buffalo wings in the photo) were a little too limp to reach any new heights in salty snack technology.

The good news is, the fennel soup I made from last week's leftover fennel and potato was kind of amazing. As was Eva's pesto-parmesan garlic bread.

Spicy but otherwise Lame Radish Chips:
Very pretty radishes from farmers market: $1.50

Fennel Soup to make up for the Lame Radish Chips:

Leftover Potato and Fennel: $1.50
Carrot: $.20
Cipollini onion: $.30
Chicken stock: $1.59
Splash of milk: $.25
Pulverizing the bejeezus out of it all in the food processor: Priceless.

TOTAL: $5.34
