Yeah, lunch. Who's cooler than us? "Nobody," Eva says (above).
I texted her yesterday: "Lunch tomorrow...do you want sides or mains? You can call shotgun." And BANG! She exploded with a fantastic suggestion, the wonders of which she shall share later. I rounded up what amounted to mocktails and appetizers:
Lime & Mint Soda ($1.28)
4 Limes: $.60
1/3 bunch mint: $.33
2 Cups club soda: $.35
Splash of simple syrup
Edamame Dip with Crudites ($2.00)
1/2 bag frozen edamame from TJs ($1.50), boiled, salted, and pulverized in the food processor with unspecified amounts of the following until I was happy with the texture and taste: olive oil, salt, pepper, lemon juice, hot pepper sauce, white vinegar, toasted sesame seeds, and mayo.
Red Bell Pepper, sliced ($.50)
Sesame breadsticks (free of charge - someone brought them to my place Friday night for a soiree)
I stopped at Stiles and a new mystery vendor for tomorrow's ingredients, and I am already excited! -P
