What Happens in Purdue Stays Under Budget

As Eva mentioned, she and I are on tour this weekend. First stop, West Lafayette, IN (at Purdue University), and second stop, Chicago.

Tour poses some challenges for Ladies trying to eat on a budget and also somewhat healthily. But we're working on it. We found so far that one way to eat cheaply on tour is to always be in West Lafayette. The place is a bargain.

Here are some angles we might take while blogging about eating on the road:
-Local flavor: where's THE hidden gem on location
-Spending less than your per diem on a day's meals
-Resisting the urge to eat from the catering tables during the day or eating a full meal after performances in the evening. (Eva and I work for a dance company, but we are not dancing for 8 hours a day.)
-Ways to have "home cooked" meals while lacking a kitchen. (Someone suggested trying to fry an egg on the hot plate of the coffee machine. Not sure that's where we're headed, but we'll see.)

Shout out to the Grey House cafe here in West Lafayette. Delicious crepes and coffee, and a terrific vibe! If I lived here, I would be there every day, blogging about how much I liked it. Breakfast was $5.35.

Love it, but leavin' it. Out tonight after the show to drive to Chicago! Deep dish pizza here we come...

xoxo
