Vegetables are Love

I like vegetables.
I like them for many reasons.
The nutritional value, the pretty colors, the variety of kinds and flavors.
I like them raw. I like them cooked. I like them roasted, and I like them steamed. They are also an excellent delivery method for sauces, dressings, and dips.

When Pamlea was mulling over sausage and peppers, or tuna something or other, I told her I'd be happy to make a salad to contribute to lunch on Friday.

I used romaine lettuce from Trader Joes's.
I added a tomato and some pine nuts.
Then I made the dressing which was olive oil, red wine vinegar, garlic, dill, basil, and either oregano or rosemary. (Pamela said she tasted Oregano, and upon my investigation the arrangement of spices on my shelf makes me think I had used rosemary, so it remains a mystery).
And there was some Parmesan cheese on the top of it all.
I think the dressing was lovely, and it was as usual, another successful lunch.
Cost estimate: $1 lettuce, $.75 tomato, $1 for the remainder of fractions of products.
