(Sorry for the delay, by the way. We didn't have internet access at all in the last couple of cities. Eva's also got a backlog of photos and thoughts to share.)
So let's begin, where most days begin, with breakfast. For those of you less widely traveled Flans, most European hotels include breakfast as part of your stay. And we're not talking a tray of muffins here. We're talking full out breakfast with everything imaginable: eggs, sausage, bacon, other meats, cheese, yogurt, fresh breads, pastries, fruits etc. And Germany in particular seems to do this especially well. Stay tuned for a future post where I rank the chocolate croissants of the 5 hotels that we will have been in this tour.
And from this spread, here's what I had/have on a usual day:
There may have also been a chocolate croissant involved, but I have no photo evidence of that, so you can't prove anything.
Next we're off to the theater, where there is often some sort of backstage snack situation. The above and below pictures may make clear why it is I always manage to gain weight on tour, even though I'm doing a lot of walking. However they also may make clear why it is I never spend as much of my own money on tour as I do when I am at home.
I'll let Eva post about some of the more stellar dinners and desserts we've had out and about, but at least half the time dinner is hastily consumed takeout sitting in a dressing room/office:
Glamorous, indeed.
