Lunch this week has been fun regarding the whole gossip aspect. But as for cooking, we've been less inspired. It may be due to the fact that after work this week Pamela and I have been ushering a theatrical performance, and our evening prep time is shrunk considerably.
I had a craving for Thai food, and as P was unwilling to cater to my every whim and cook some up, we slated a trip to Thai Chai Yo on 9th Ave. They are my favorite neighborhood thai stop, and lunch was $11 each.
Thursday, which is the present as I write worked out nicely with minimal effort. In October, as you may or may not remember, my mom made some lentil soup. There was a lot of this lentil soup, and I had several servings still frozen. Last night at 11 pm, I took the frozen soup out of the icebox and let it thaw until 12:30 lunch time. There were still some ice chunks, and I had to microwave the stuff for 8 minutes. Pamela's dip, some crackers, and fruit rounded it all off, and lunch was super.
Next Monday will be our last chance to cook together at work until next year, so stay tuned!
